Law Enforcement Against Prohibition

I came across Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP) a couple days after the UN’s Blue Ribbon Panel released their final report. The 19 member commission consisted of numerous former heads of state, former U.S. Secretary of State, George Schultz, former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, former U.S. Federal Reserve chairman Paul Volcker, former presidents of Mexico, Brazil and Colombia, writers Carlos Fuentes and Mario Vargas Llosa, U.K. business tycoon Richard Branson and the current prime minister of Greece. The report concludes…

that the War On Drugs is an utter failure and has many unintended consequences including higher drug use. You can read the full report on this site Global Commission On Drug Policy or download the 24 page full Drug Policy report as a PDF (requires Acrobat Reader).

The video on this page is an interview with the executive director of LEAP and a former DEA officer. I will enable the comments so you can respond if you like.
